Rabbi Irvin Ungar, AJR alumnus and antiquarian bookseller (www.historicana.com), has just published a new edition of the 1940 Szyk Haggadah. This unique edition was created using the latest advances in digital photography, bookbinding, papermaking, etc. Arthur Szyk was known for his devotion to liberty and social justice, using his art to transmit his understanding of Jewish values and freedom. Irvin Ungar, as president of the Arthur Szyk Society, has worked for years to see this project to fruition. AJR is very proud of Rabbi Ungar’s contribution to the world of art, and the world of Jewish bookmaking.
