AJR Holds Retreat Combining Talmud and the Arts
At AJR’s annual retreat, ON THE FAST TRACK-TATE: Multimedia Approaches to Rabbinic Texts, our community learned how to use the arts to study and teach Talmudic text, and the nature of the Talmudic argument. We learned from educators, practiced using visual arts, dance, music, and circus arts to use our bodies, and our creativity to understand Talmudic logic, and came to an understanding how we can bring this back to our communities to enrich their connection to rabbinic literature.
