Jerold B. Volk
Biography:
Jerry Volk is a seasoned fundraising professional with deep experience in major gifts, planned giving, and strategic donor engagement across leading nonprofit, academic, and healthcare institutions. Before joining the staff at AJR, Jerry oversaw major donor relations and planned giving at New York Medical College, and served as the key liaison to the Board of Advisors. Over his career, he has been successful in development efforts at organizations including the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, National MS Society, JDRF, The Cancer Institute of New Jersey, and others—raising over $50 million collectively. His work has included launching major gift programs, securing multimillion-dollar commitments, and designing high-impact events and campaigns that drive mission-focused growth.
Jerry holds a master’s degree in health care administration from The George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Yeshiva University. He is married to Sharon Markowitz Volk, is the proud father of three and grandfather of five. Jerry and Sharon live in West Orange, New Jersey and he loves family, friends, baseball, golf, and the beach.
