Chaplain
Delivers chaplaincy care to patients, their loved ones and staff, as appropriate. Ensures that religious and spiritual needs of patients and their loved ones are met in assigned areas. Responsibilities: Applies hospital patient care standards and pastoral care departmental goals in all patient car activities; offers religious and spiritual guidance to patients/families and staff, Provides input, as needed, in patient’s interdisciplinary plan of care; demonstrates proficiency in identified counseling skills required in Direct patient care, Manages time appropriately to meet patient/family needs, Promotes a professional atmosphere through courteous communication with patient’s families, physicians and peers; attends/participates in departmental meetings and reviews minutes of all meetings not attended, Maintains and develops professional competence through required in-service and educational programs; complies with hospital dress code and maintains a professional image, Maintains satisfactory attendance record; reports for duty punctually; introduces self to patient and/or family; stops to offer assistance to anyone who appears Read More >
