Cantor

The Huntington Jewish Center is seeking a full-time Cantor. This person will help fulfill the spiritual and musical needs of our active and engaging congregation. Job Responsibilities include: Leading Shabbat services with our Rabbi, Leading Holiday services with our Rabbi, Engaging with our Religious school students and families by supporting Hebrew/prayer curriculum and musical  programs, Teaching 6/7 graders, Providing music for our Early Childhood Center, Coordinating and providing B’nai Mitzvah instruction , Organizing Torah Readers and readings on all Shabbat and Holiday Services, Providing musical programs and events, Creating a Children’s Choir & Work with Rabbi for pastoral care. The ideal Candidate will be: personable, energetic, spiritual, reliable, and engaging, especially with children, have a pleasant, trained singing voice that will inspire our congregation, have knowledge of nusach & be a team player.
