Rabbinical Student or Cantor for High Holiday Services 5785
We are a small, egalitarian, Conservative congregation in south central PA. The congregation has been practicing since the 1940s and has been located at its current location since early 1990s. Congregants for the most part are retired or approaching retirement. We are looking for a Rabbinical student or Cantor that can lead services. Congregants would read torah & haftorah and blow the shofar. We use the Park Avenue mahzor. Our services would be erev Rosh Hashanah, the first and second days of Rosh Hashanah, Kol Nidre, Yom Kippur with a break in the afternoon. Breakfast is at a congregants home. Accommodations: either at a private resident or a bed & breakfast 2 blocks away from the synagogue. Compensation: $2,000 for Rosh Hashanah & expenses or $4,000 for Rosh Hashanah & Yom Kippur & expenses. Contact: Laurence Zimmerman, [email protected].
