Hebrew Congregation of Somers, a warm, inspired, and collaborative Jewish community in Northern Westchester, is searching for Sunday morning Hebrew School teachers (Jewish Studies and Hebrew), substitute Hebrew School teachers, and Tuesday afternoon Hebrew teachers. Our Jewish Studies program is values based exploration. Tefillah is about creating a relationship between the student and the liturgy. We teach Hebrew through decoding Tefillah from the Friday night and Saturday morning Shabbat services, and through surrounding our students with Hebrew words and ideas. Our community aims to creatively and lovingly connect with each student. We seek to support our students’ diverse learning and social ways of being.
