We are seeking a Programming Coordinator to join our dedicated staff in serving our lively congregation of approximately 200 member-families. The position is immediately available. Under the supervision and guidance of the Executive Director, the Programming Coordinator will facilitate all logistics, administrative details and other responsibilities for internal programming, lifecycle events, and private facility rentals as well as clerical and administrative functions of the synagogue office. Torah Reader/Baal Koreh

Kehillat Ma’arav (KM) is a Conservative USCJ-affiliated congregation located in Santa Monica, California. KM fosters a welcoming, inclusive, and participatory Jewish community rooted in God, Torah, and Israel that strengthens tradition and identity through educational, religious, and spiritual growth. KM is seeking a Torah Reader (Baal Koreh) to serve its active and engaged community of approximately 200 member-families and read Torah on Shabbat and holidays (except High Holidays). KM follows the triennial cycle of Torah reading.  Currently, services start at 9:30am every Saturday. This position is available to start immediately. Qualifications: Must be well-versed in Hebrew and Torah trope (Cantillation) and should have sufficient experience that would enable the Baal Koreh to chant the portion clearly and audibly.  Our synagogue does not require that this person be within walking distance.
