Interim Cantor 

Temple Beth Ami is seeking a full-time interim cantor to help lead our congregation while we begin a search for our new permanent cantor. Applicants should be comfortable with both traditional and contemporary Jewish music in a highly participatory style. Our interim cantor will be a critical member of our clergy and senior staff teams and will report to our senior rabbi. They will have primary responsibility in the areas of worship, pastoral care, education, transition preparation and administration as follows: Preferred qualifications: Ordained Cantor, High Emotional Intelligence/Customer Support Orientation, Collaborative work ethic, Comfortable with audio-visual technology, Skilled with Mac OS, especially Keynote, Energetic service leader, Plays guitar and/or percussion & Experience working with children and adults of all ages. Local to the DMV. Term of Position: The anticipated start date is mid to late August 2024 and will end on June 30, 2025. Full-time. Annual base salary of $150-170k commensurate with experience.
