Rabbi

Or Shalom is a Conservative synagogue on the western Mainline of Philadelphia. We are seeking a rabbi, to begin work in July 2024. Part time position for congregation with quite a few members who can daven and leyn. May not need rabbi for every Shabbat. Currently, we two/three Shabbatot per month are Zoom only, and the other are hybrid. We are looking for someone who can give a decent sermon and has a nice singing voice. A friendly demeanor is also required. We have a cantor for the high holidays. We are looking for someone who can give a decent sermon and has a nice singing voice. Important issues that we would like to see the applicant address once he/she is hired is to try to increase participation at Friday night and Saturday morning services. Will need to be someone who travels on Shabbat, because housing in our area is expensive. Salary: $60K/year. Part-time.
