Nesiyah at Shaare Torah offers classes for Pre-K through 7th grade with openings for the 2024-2025 school year including: CLASSROOM TEACHERS, ELECTIVE (CHUG) TEACHERS, SONGLEADER/MUSIC SPECIALIST & INCLUSION SPECIALISTS. Join our collaborative team at Shaare Torah, a welcoming Conservative synagogue in Gaithersburg, MD. With our religious school program growing and our diverse congregation expanding, we’re opening positions on our dedicated teaching staff! We’re on the lookout for enthusiastic educators to join us in creating engaging learning experiences at Nesiyah, Shaare Torah’s religious school program. While teaching experience is extremely valued, it’s not mandatory, especially if you have a passion for Judaism and Jewish education. Our ideal candidates embrace hands-on learning methods and feel comfortable working with children who are neurodiverse. Classes are held on Sundays 9:00 AM-12:00 PM, midweek afternoons 4:45-6:15 PM, and select Shabbat mornings with in-person and online options.
