Central Synagogue – Beth Emeth (CSBE) is a reform/reconstructionist congregation located in Rockville Centre, NY. We have been serving Long Island’s South Shore for nearly 90 years. We are a dynamic congregation, committed to the philosophy of Progressive Judaism. We are seeking a motivated and creative, part-time Director of Jewish Education, to oversee and further develop our religious school program, The Jewish Experience (JE). JE currently serves students in Kindergarten- 7th grade. The goal of JE is to create an exciting, stimulating and innovative environment for Jewish learning. Students in all grades attend classes on Sundays from 9:30- Noon. Students in 3rd – 7thgrade receive one on one Hebrew instructions from their classroom teachers, via Zoom, during the week.
