Congregation of Reform Judaism (CRJ) is located in Orlando, Florida. Our mission is to offer a synagogue culture that is inviting and respectful, with inspiring worship services and programs that promote lifelong Jewish learning within a caring, innovative, and vibrant congregation. Congregation of Reform Judaism (CRJ) in Orlando, Florida has an immediate opening for a Director of Education. This position will primarily focus on our religious school, called JEEP. In addition to pre-k4 thru 6th grade religious school, the successful applicant will manage our Kitah Aleph/Bet (2-4yr olds), and teen YALA education. JEEP: Jewish Education Engagement Program, is CRJ’s Sunday religious school for Pre-K4 through sixth graders. YALA is our weekday evening program for 7th through 12th grade students. In addition, this position will also manage our mid-week individual Hebrew program for 3rd through 6th grade. In conjunction with other senior staff, they will also supervise the b’nai mitzvah tutors. This position would report to the Rabbi, and works closely with our leadership team. CRJ is a welcoming and thriving congregation of around 500 families. We have been active in our current location since 1953. We currently have a full-time Rabbi, Cantor, and an administrative team. Our growing supplemental religious school education programs now require a full-time dedicated team member. Our current enrollment in JEEP is 135 students, prek-6th grade. Our YALA program has a lot of growth potential and room for innovation. Job Logistics: Build relationships with approximately 200 students, ages 2 to 18, and their families, Ensure that our academic program is innovative and educational, fun and inspiring, Champion organizational growth and positive change through transparency, trust, and collaboration, Create a learning environment and school community that is welcoming to all, Supervise and hire teachers and tutors, Encourage regular and meaningful communication to and among teachers, families, and staff, Have overall responsibility for our Kitah, JEEP, and YALA education & Collaborate with other staff for the growth of our synagogue community. The position is onsite, with a typical week of Sunday through Thursday, with active participation in other various events.
