Sunday Religious School Teachers

Temple Sholom is seeking warm, engaging religious school teachers for our Lower School (PreK-2nd Grade) program. We are looking for educators who can inspire young learners to develop a strong Jewish identity, a love of Israel, familiarity with Jewish holidays and rituals, and a joyful connection to Jewish life through music, learning and community. Lesson plans will be provided, but can be adapted to each teacher’s own style. Responsibilities include: Creating a welcoming, engaging classroom environment, Teaching age-appropriate Jewish values, traditions, holidays, and rituals, Fostering Jewish pride and connection to Israel, Bringing ruach (Jewish spirit) to learning through music and interactive experiences & Collaborating with clergy, staff, and fellow teachers. Compensation & Benefits: $100 per hour, Paid professional development opportunities, Supportive and collaborative teaching community & Experience working with children and a passion for Jewish education preferred.
