Congregation Bnai Shalom was formed in 2000 as the result of the merger between Temple Covenant of Peace, a Reform temple and Congregation Bnai Abraham, a Conservative synagogue. The origins of the Easton Jewish community date back to 1839. Our Congregation embraces all branches of Judaism and is an integral part of Jewish life in the Lehigh Valley. Bnai Shalom is a creative, inclusive congregation inviting ALL people to deepen their bonds to Judaism and to thrive in their personal journeys. This includes interfaith, LBGTQ+ and special needs families. We have a core group of people who are dedicated and committed to the well-being of Bnai Shalom both now and well into the future. We are a warm, welcoming, and haimish community with diverse practices, interests, and backgrounds.
