Rabbi/Cantor Support Consultant (Ordination required)
The Jewish Care and Support Program at Gilchrist provides culturally sensitive and competent care to Jewish patients and/or their families within the continuum of Gilchrist Services. This program recognizes our patient’s and family’s religious and cultural beliefs. The rabbi/cantor support consultant will be tasked with providing culturally sensitive care to Jewish patients from a wide variety of religious/traditional backgrounds, including – when needed – after hours, on weekends, and on national holidays. The rabbi/cantor will be a part of an on-call rotation and will help Jewish individuals and their families attain the highest quality of life when experiencing a serious illness, while observing Jewish laws, tradition, and values.
