Clergy Educator/Educational Director
The Merrick Jewish Centre (MJC), home of the largest Hebrew School on the south shore of Long Island, is seeking a full-time Clergy Educator or Director of Education. The Clergy Educator/Director of Education manages and directs the Hebrew School toward its primary objective of fulfilling the Commandment, V’shinntam L’vanecha, under the direction of the Senior Rabbi, School Board and the Board of Directors, as provided in the Constitution of the MJC. The school operates Monday and Wednesday classes with once a month Sunday family programs, and Hebrew High School for seventh graders on Tuesday nights. The Clergy Educator/Director of Education works in partnership with our professional staff and lay leaders to develop and implement our congregational vision for Jewish learning.
