Senior Rabbi
Temple Beth El, a 102 year old Conservative Congregation is seeking an experienced full-time/Flex-time Rabbi for our senior congregation. While the position includes the normal range of rabbinic responsibilities, our smaller all-adult congregation requires less time than a larger synagogue might. Therefore, we are offering this as a flex-time position. The Rabbi needs to be present only 2-3 shabbatot per month. The synagogue might also offer time off for the Rabbi to spend Pesach with his/her family, spend extended time in Israel or another locale. The Rabbi would be needed only 2-3 days per week in the office. General responsibilities include pastoral work (funerals, shiva visits, visits and calls to the home-bound, hospital visits, etc.), work on synagogue programs, teaching 1-2 classes weekly and engagement with all of our members.
