The Assistant/Associate Director of Youth and Family Engagement at Temple Shaaray Tefila will be a vital member of the Youth and Family Education team, and the staff team of the synagogue. This person will be working on Religious School and Pathways (teen) programming, curriculum – both Hebrew and Judaics, both within our building on East 79th Street, and out in the world.  Responsibilities: Curriculum development for Hebrew and Judaics from grades PreK – 12th Grade, Creation and implementation of special programming for holidays and family events, such as High Holidays, Chanukah, Curriculum/Family Day, Experiential Afternoons, and Shabbat programming, Collaboration with Director on Teacher hiring and / or supervision for both Hebrew & Judaics, Support of children and families with diverse learning needs, and consulting with teachers for supporting of kids with differing learning styles and abilities & Other Duties. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred, 3+ years of Jewish educational experience, Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, Demonstrated project management and collaboration skills, Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, concurrent events and deadlines, Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal, oral, and written skills, Proficiency in Google Workspace, Flexibility to work holidays, High Holidays, weekends, and evenings & TST Religious School Meets Sunday mornings and Mondays into the evening. Pluses: Curriculum writing, Summer camp experience, Background in special needs and inclusion, Other educational experiences beyond traditional university education & Summer camp experience. Salary: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 Annual with benefits. Full-time.
