As we expand our impact, we seek Hadar Campus Rabbis to join our dynamic team and drive our strategic growth initiatives. As described in our new strategic plan, a key feature of this work will include placing rabbis on up to five campuses in the coming years. Placement will be made through matching the right candidate with the right campus and start date. All interested applicants are encouraged to apply now, with position start dates available between Summer 2025 and Summer 2028. Hadar Campus Rabbis will work with the traditional egalitarian campus community specifically, as well as the campus Jewish community as a whole. They will be critical in building vibrant traditional egalitarian communities on campus, connecting students through Hadar programming, and modeling passionate Jewish commitment. Hadar Campus Rabbis are energized by the work of teaching Torah and building community specifically with students on college campuses, and are excited to work closely with members of the Hadar faculty team. These roles will report to the Director of Hadar on Campus. Responsibilities: Teach Torah in a wide variety of contexts on campus, Support and catalyze campus egalitarian minyan by empowering students, including through skill building and offering halakhic guidance, Model committed and joyful halakhic egalitarian jewish life, Meet with students one-on-one to develop relationships, provide pastoral care, and support individual Jewish journeys, Host meals and informal gatherings in the home, Serve as a rabbinic and pastoral presence for all students interested in Jewish community on campus & Collaborate and build relationships with already existing communities and leadership on campus, such as Hillel and Chabad to foster deep communal experiences. Qualifications: Passion for Hadar’s mission and a commitment to advancing Hadar’s values, Passion for building Jewish life on campus, Rabbinic Ordination, Strong leadership skills with experience engaging and empowering students, Self-motivated and driven with a flexible and collaborative spirit, contributing to a positive and cooperative work environment, Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire both students and local partners, Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute programs, Confidence in teaching a range of texts to experienced learners as well as to a wider audience, Knowledge and ability to teach and support ritual leadership (e.g. Torah reading, leading davening, etc.), Strong organizational skills and attention to detail & Experience with fundraising or openness to learn. Minimum starting salary of $90,000 for this position. Senior candidates are welcome to apply.
