Cantor/Cantorial Soloist

Temple Sinai of Palm Beach County, a URJ affiliated congregation in Delray Beach, Florida, seeks a part-time, vibrant, Cantor/Cantorial Soloist for our welcoming, inclusive, family friendly, community. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Rabbi, ritual committee, and choir, to enhance the spiritual life of the congregation. The ideal candidate will be an inspiring song leader equally at home with traditional and contemporary Reform Jewish liturgical music and be skilled in guitar and/or keyboard accompaniment. He/she will be responsible for organizing, directing, and coaching our volunteer choir. The successful candidate will be capable of leading Shabbat services in the Rabbi’s absence. The candidate should be willing and able to perform pastoral visits and telephone calls. The abilities to teach Hebrew and read Torah are a plus as are technical audio and visual skills.
