Cantor/Student Cantor for High Holy Days 2025

Naples Jewish Congregation (NJC) is a small (100 person) URJ-affiliated, adult congregation located in beautiful Naples in Southwest Florida.  NJC is known for its warm and welcoming embrace of all who enter its sanctuary.  Wwe are seeking a cantor or student cantor to provide the cantorial renditions for our Congregation High Holy Days.  The cantor or student cantor will work with Alla Gorelik, our Music Director and our choir to provide the musical offerings to our Congregation.  Typically, the cantor or student cantor will sing alone on many songs, while some are sung with the choir.  Our High Holy Days services include Erev Rosh Hashanah, Rosh Hashanah, Kol Nidre, Yom Kippur, Neilah and the Concluding service. Any student cantor who comes to us for the High Holy Days would be treated like a son or daughter.  There is a reason that NJC is known as “the small congregation with the big heart.”  If desired, we will provide hospitality for the student cantor or cantor, including some dinners with congregants and our Break the Fast.  We are also offering the cantor or student cantor complimentary use of a congregant-owned 2 bedroom, 2 bath resort condo with a water view in sunny Naples for the period from September 20 through October 3, or for any portion of that time period. NJC will pay $10,000.00, plus expenses for a cantor or student cantor to lead us in song for our High Holy Days services this year.  As part of the remuneration/expenses package is a complimentary 2 BR, 2 bath condo.
