Cantorial Soloist Needed for High Holy Days 2025 

Am HaYam Cape Cod Havurah, a small, egalitarian Havurah on the lower Cape, is seeking a Cantorial Soloist for the 2025 High Holy Days. Responsibilities shall include: (1) Rosh Hashanah: the evening service (Erev Rosh Hashanah) and Rosh Hashanah morning service and; (2) Yom Kippur: the Kol Nidre Service, the Yom Kippur morning service, and Yom Kippur afternoon services through sunset. Guitar or keyboard players would be most welcome. The compensation for the aforementioned High Holy Days responsibilities will be $7,000. In addition, the Havurah will provide reimbursement for meals and accommodations for the two overnight stays, to be capped at $2,000. The candidate will perform all such functions as an independent contractor with The Havurah and not as an employee of The Havurah. It is preferred – but not mandatory – that the candidate live in the Greater Boston area. We would hope to engage such a candidate in occasional Shabbat services throughout the year.
