This is an exciting time to join the AYA leadership team as the school embarks on a transformative, multi-year plan to reinvent Modern Orthodox, religious Zionist education and provide a 5-star experience for all AYA students, families, and educators. Akiba Yavneh Academy is a Modern Orthodox, co-ed, early childhood through 12th grade college-preparatory school dedicated to providing an academically excellent and values-based General and Judaic education to Jewish students of all backgrounds to inspire a lifelong love of Torah, higher learning, and the State of Israel. Seeking a dynamic educational leader to serve as Dean of Judaic Studies for 6th-12th grade at Akiba Yavneh Academy, a Modern Orthodox day school in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will develop an innovative curriculum that integrates traditional Jewish learning with contemporary educational approaches. Areas of Responsibility: Curriculum and Instructional Leadership & Faculty Development. Qualifications: Master’s degree in Jewish Education, or related field, 5+ years teaching Judaic studies in middle/high school & Strong curriculum development skills. Required Skills: Innovative pedagogical approaches, Ability to engage students across learning styles, Excellent communication and leadership skills & Deep commitment to Modern Orthodox Jewish education. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with interdisciplinary curriculum development, project based learning and experiential education, Background in Israel education and Israel gap year program guidance & Proficiency in modern Hebrew.
