We look forward to having you be part of this transformative work! The Institute of Soil and Soul is a regenerative farm and educational center located in Long Grove, IL. Our mission is to foster environmental stewardship, sustainability, and community building through regenerative agricultural practices, provide organic, locally-grown foods to communities who lack access, and offer a space for Jews to reconnect with their agricultural roots and heritage. Through hands-on learning, Jewish educational programs, and community engagement, we are creating a vibrant and dynamic environment that promotes healing for both the land and our communities. We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Director of Jewish Life to join our team. This individual will play a pivotal role in enhancing the Jewish mission and educational offerings of the Institute of Soil and Soul. The Director of Jewish Life will engage with the Greater Chicago Jewish community, build meaningful relationships with Jewish organizations, schools, synagogues, and clubs, and oversee the Jewish cultural and educational experiences for students and staff. They will work closely with the Executive Director to ensure that the Jewish values and traditions underpinning the Institute’s mission are effectively integrated into all aspects of our programming. Areas of Responsibility: Community Engagement, Thought Partner, Program Planning and Execution, Collaborations & Outreach & Staff & Student Engagement. Qualifications: Familiarity with Pluralistic Jewish Environment, h practices, beliefs, and traditions. Salary: $30 per hour for the first season, with the option to stay on for a full-salary position the following year. Part-time, up to 20 hours per week. Benefits: 401(k) and health insurance.
