Education Director  (Hybrid Remote position)

MJCBY is a vibrant, 250-family Conservative synagogue with a thriving Religious School that meets on Wednesdays and Sundays. We are a warm, inclusive congregation that brings joy and love for Judaism into everything we do. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Education Director to lead our Religious School and family programming. This full-time position offers a flexible hybrid work schedule, with on-site presence required during school sessions and events. Responsibilities: Oversee and enhance the Religious School curriculum and faculty, Inspire a love of Judaism in students, fostering lifelong Jewish learning, Build meaningful relationships with children, parents, clergy, and staff, Coordinate family education programs and holiday celebrations & Collaborate with the Preschool Director and synagogue leadership. Qualifications: Degree in education, Jewish studies, or related field – or equivalent experience, Experience teaching and leading in a Jewish educational setting, Passionate about Jewish learning and community engagement, Warm, enthusiastic, and connects well with children and families, Organized, self-motivated, and creative, Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills, Comfortable with innovative approaches to teaching & Flexible schedule to accommodate Religious School, programming, and community events.
