Hebrew instructor for Online Hebrew Program (Remote position)

Community Synagogue of Rye is searching for engaging Hebrew instructors to teach Hebrew on Zoom to 3rd-6th graders at the Center for Jewish Learning (CJL).  Our Hebrew instructors connect with their learners and create supportive relationships with them, encouraging and inspiring them to master the Alef-Bet and vowels and gain fluency in their Hebrew reading. Our Hebrew classes meet weekly for 30-minutes, with two learners per class who are paired based on their Hebrew level.  We supply teaching materials (including digital textbooks and slides) and a pacing schedule to help with weekly planning.  Prior experience teaching on Zoom is a must. Hebrew instructors will: Plan and teach weekly 30-minute Hebrew classes using materials provided, Build relationships with learners and parents, Be responsible for administrative requirements such as attendance, weekly e-mails home, and twice-yearly progress reports & Attend a virtual orientation and occasional check-in meetings. Our instructors are paid a competitive hourly rate. Part-time.
