High Holiday Clergy Student

Roosevelt Island Jewish Congregation (rijc.org) is looking for a clergy student to support our HHD services this year. We are a heymish, unaffiliated community, established in 1983, sharing space with other organizations on the Island. Our services are gender egalitarian and often include musical instruments. We use the New Mahzor (Prayer Book Press of Media Judaica, 1978). We are looking to hire a clergy student to lead the earlier part of the service (abbreviated Birkhot Hashahar/Psukei Dezimra through Shaharit) on both days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, as well as part of Yom Kippur ma’ariv, Yom Kippur minha, some torah chanting, possibly some haftarah chanting. We are offering a $3000 honorarium. Home hospitality (with a congregant) in walking distance is available if needed (elevator accessible). Our sanctuary is accessible by stairs or elevator.
