High Holidays Service Leader

Hillel Foundation at Purdue is seeking a High Holidays service leader for Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur for our community of students, faculty and local participants. The service leader will be responsible for the following: Erev Rosh HaShanah, Rosh HaShanah morning (1st day), Kol Nidre, Yom Kippur Morning, and a combined Yom Kippur Mincha/Neilah. The service is Conservative style. We are looking for traditional Hebrew-chanted nusach as well as melodies that encourage participation, Shared responsibility with student leaders for English readings and prayer introductions & Primary chanter for Torah and Haftarah, but parts can be shared with students. Opportunity for other teachings during holiday while on site, as coordinated and agreed upon with the Hillel Staff. Base compensation is $5000 plus travel stipend for flights, lodging, and meals.
