Temple Menorah is a traditional Zionist congregation with 400 family members in Miami Beach, FL. After a 38-year tenure, our Rabbi will retire, and we are seeking a spiritual leader to guide us into the future. Our ideal candidate will have a deep commitment to Jewish values, traditions and the ability to inspire and connect with congregants of multiple backgrounds. Our unique congregation serves a variety of Jewish cultures, both Ashkenazi and Sephardi, long term senior members as well as young families and singles with different religious, educational and spiritual needs. Adaptability is an essential quality for any applicant wanting to serve our diverse membership and be an active liaison to our vibrant South Florida community. This is an opportunity to foster a committed and dynamic congregation for today’s Jewish world. Key Areas of Responsibility: Bimah, Pastoral and lifecycle duties, Education, Synagogue outreach and membership development, Community building & Administrative duties. Qualifications: Rabbinical ordination from an accredited program or seminary, Lead by example in living a traditional mitzvah observant lifestyle, Deep understanding of Jewish history, laws, rabbinic texts, traditions, and customs, High personal, ethical, and professional standards, Excellent verbal and written communications skills, Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills, Compassionate, empathetic, patient, and approachable, Committed to personal and professional growth & Congregational experience is a plus, but recent graduates with relevant skills will be considered.
