Congregation Shir Hadash is an affiliate of Reconstructing Judaism searing for a part-time rabbi to begin Summer 2025. Shir Hadash is a congregation of about 75 individuals seeking a rabbi to lead us in pursuit of meaningful Jewish lives that helps its members, and the broader community lift up one another and the world. Our community attracts people of all ages who work together in creating a vibrant Jewish community. Our prayer is made meaningful through collective voices joined in song. We have a bench of tefillah leaders and Torah learners. We are searching for a learned mensch who will embrace our congregation, innovate our spiritual practices, and teach us in new ways. We hope that our next rabbi will lead us for the long-term. We are looking for candidates who have pulpit experience and familiar with the challenges faced in synagogue life. Our rabbi should be able to communicate effectively both during services, in classes, during life-cycle events, and to the community as a whole. Our rabbi should be an active partner with our congregation engaging in social justice and interfaith initiatives. Our rabbi should be comfortable leading our congregation which has varied and passionate views on Israel.
