Spiritual Leader

I am writing on behalf of the Mountain Synagogue, a vibrant and welcoming Jewish community nestled in the mountains of Western North Carolina. We are currently seeking dedicated clergy support to lead our once a month Saturday morning services basis. Our ideal candidate would be a rabbi, cantor, or a student-rabbi or student-cantor who can guide our congregation in worship and enrich our spiritual experience. We pride ourselves on being a community that values collaboration and the sharing of diverse skills and talents; therefore, in addition to leading services, we would be open to exploring other programming opportunities that align with the clergy’s unique abilities, ie music, torah study, etc. Mountain Synagogue is honored to house two sacred Torah scrolls: one that is fit for communal reading and another, a “Holocaust Torah,” that serves as a poignant reminder of our shared history and resilience. We believe these scrolls not only enhance our worship but also provide a profound context for educational initiatives and community engagement. For the candidate’s convenience, our community is approximately 2-2.5 hours from Atlanta and 1-1.5 hours from Asheville.
