Cantor or Student Intern
Humble, non-pretentious, do-it-yourself havurah like small congregation is seeking a Cantor for an on-site weekend only, ten hour a week position. Duties include: Leading Shabbat evening services, Sunday morning youth services, and a few Shabbat morning b’nei mitzvah services (all with rabbi), Teaching 7th Grade Hebrew and Judaica on Sundays, Tutoring approx. six b’nei mitzvah (via Zoom) & High Holiday and some festival services. We meet in a converted home, all at one time. The majority 2/3 of families are interfaith. Must have an ability to relate to religious school families, promote the school and bring in new families, Supportive of teachers; bonding with families; promote the school & Create intimate and spiritual Shabbat evening experience. Our expectations in regards to personal religious observance are flexible. Salary: $20,000 10/hrs a week.
