RIT Hillel in Rochester, NY, is seeking a High Holiday service leader for Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur. This leader would lead a mixed-gender and gender-expression identifying community, primarily comprising students and some faculty and staff. The service leader would be responsible for the following: Erev Rosh HaShanah, Rosh HaShanah morning (1st day), Kol Nidre, Yom Kippur Morning, and a combined Yom Kippur Mincha/Neilah. These services would be egalitarian and progressive, rooted in a traditional style, Primary canter for Torah and Haftarah, but parts can be shared with staff and students, No sermon or other teaching is required, but if you are interested, we can discuss opportunities, Engaging the congregation at shared meals and before and after services & Engaging our student leaders, as time allows, to gather their thoughts on worship content will be made available via a digital conference. Base compensation is $5,000.00 plus expenses (travel, lodging, and meals). We have requested an on-campus apartment for the rabbi so that the individual will be close to the community.
