Rabbi (Cantorial/Music experience a plus)

Beth Am Shalom is looking for a rabbi to start ASAP as our rabbi of more than 27 years recently retired. We are a warm and welcoming Reform Jewish congregation located near the beautiful Jersey Shore. Our community is diverse, vibrant, and dedicated to Jewish values, learning, and social action. We offer a supportive environment with a strong commitment to spiritual growth, community engagement, and lifelong education. Responsibilities: Lead Shabbat and holiday services, Provide pastoral care and counseling to congregants, Officiate at life cycle events, including weddings, funerals, unveilings, b’nei mitzvah, and confirmations, Develop and lead engaging adult education programs and Torah study – approximately 1/month, Work with the religious school principal to enhance youth education & Collaborate with lay leadership on congregational initiatives. Qualifications: Ordained Rabbi with credentials from a recognized seminary, Strong knowledge of Jewish traditions, rituals, and laws, Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, Ability to inspire and connect with congregants of all ages, Commitment to inclusivity, social justice, and community service, Experience in pastoral care and counseling, Creative and engaging approach to education and worship & Cantorial/music experience a plus.
